In the exercise of the powers conferred to me by the APLESA Constitution 2019, Schedule I, Section 2(1), NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the Annual General Meeting of the Association of Parliamentary Libraries in Eastern and Southern Africa (APLESA) to be held on Wednesday, 31st MAY, 2023 commencing at 9.00 a.m. at Elephant Hotel, Victoria Falls.
Election of the new office bearers
Nomination and filling of positions of the Association
In the exercise of the powers conferred to me by the APLESA Constitution 2019, Schedule II Section 4 and Section 3 (1&6);
a) Notice is hereby given of all the available vacant positions in the APLESA Executive Committee
b) Nomination forms for all vacant positions that are available for nomination shall be sent to you in due course.
c) Each nomination form shall be signed by at least two members from a fully subscribed member parliament as well as by the nominee.
d) Voting at annual general meetings shall only be open to fully subscribed members.
e) A person shall be eligible for nomination or to nominate another person for election to any office or position in the Association if such a person is from a member parliament that has fully met all its financial obligations to the Association.
f) Voting in all meetings shall be conducted by members physically present.
